Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. She is an actor known for Choices 2010 (also well-known as The Heart and Other Small Shapes), Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022), as well as The Heart and Other Small Shapes.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she has herself taken up. When she made her debut, she was only nine years old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni In 1988 she starred as the main character in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was one of the actors in The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's daughter came out a year after. But it was Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career explode. The film was well-received during the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Argento as well as her mother and one Argento's favorite actors, Daria, played an anorexic teenager who is searching for the murderer of her parents Trauma. Asia's intense, absorbed acting skills were used to great effect in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze. Co-starring with Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di vista as Arianna, a girl with physical handicap. The complex and demanding part earned her an award: a David di Donatello Prize for Best actor. In 1995 she worked alongside Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her the David di Donatello prize as well as an award called a Grolla d'oro. In 1994 Asia decided to try directing and turned out two short films as part of the series of the film De Generazione In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father, and in 1998, one on cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which received an award from AbelAsia, which was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. The year 1999 was the year Asia made her feature-directing debut in the form of Scarlet Diva in which she was the main actor and wrote the screenplay. In May 2000, the film was released throughout the world. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg festival of film.
