Deborah was born on 25th December 1985 in Brooklyn. She's of Irish-German descent. She was enrolled in dancing, piano and acting classes. She was a student at Packer Collegiate Institute for high school. After that, she graduated from The USC School of Theater's BFA program. Deborah's first role was as Jessica Hamby in HBO's True Blood, the vampire-drama that is highly acclaimed. Scott is a comic as is his family. They are both suffering from choroideremia. It is a disorder that slowly makes its patient blind. Her fame has helped her become an advocate for her family members and people with this disease. She has been quoted as saying that her boyfriend's bravery in fighting his disability has influenced her own fight to fight Celiac disease. It makes her body unresponsive to food which contain gluten.
